Student of the Month from Switzerland.

Cambridge Student of the Month!:  Aris Pietro (FCE 4)

• 1.  Where are you from? Switzerland – from ‘TICINO’, which is in the Italian part.     
• 2.  How long have you been at Shafston? Since my course started, which was almost 2 months ago.
• 3.  Why did you decide to study in the FCE course? Because I think it will be important for my future.  In Switzerland, if you have the FCE certificate, it’s easier to find a job.
• 4.  What are you enjoying about it?  Everyday, I learn a new thing about English and we practise a lot of grammar. We practise a lot of speaking, too.  If I did the same course in Switzerland, there wouldn’t be the same amount of speaking practice.
• 5.  What do you most like about living in Brisbane? I think it’s a nice city. You can talk with all kinds of people.  You can do  everything here in Brisbane, like go to Southbank and swim or go shopping. It’s a nice quiet city, too.
• 6.  Have you travelled very much since arriving in Australia?  Where to? Yes, I have been to Moreton Island and Fraser Island and last week we went to Surfers Paradise and Nimbin.  I have visited a lot of the coast.
• 7.  Do you enjoy watching movies/ going to the cinema? Yes, but I prefer watching movies on my own because then I can put on the  subtitles.
• 8.  What kinds of films do you like watching the most? Adventure movies and horror movies.
• 9.  What do you think you will remember most about your time at Shafston? Ah... maybe the students – I have a good relationship with a lot of students.  And  the teachers – I have a good relationship with the teachers, too.
